Chairman's Message

"The Dibbedda Thrift and Credit Cooperative Society Limited was established on 2nd January 1949, marking a golden milestone in the history of the cooperative movement that began in the past with the aim of uplifting the rural masses economically, socially and culturally. After Sri Lanka gained independence from the British imperialists, the Dibbedda Sanasa Society has emerged in a short period of time and has come forward with the relentless efforts of many people-centric chairmen.
The sole objective of the committee headed by me is to improve the lives of hundreds of active members through diversification within a proper statutory framework. By identifying the current needs and utilizing modern technology, we build the future economic well-being of our members by providing them with short-term loans, long-term loans, instant loans, New Year loans and many more at a very low interest rate of 1%. Offering members an interest rate of 7% on ordinary savings, which is not offered by any commercial bank or financial institution, is a great example of our esteemed service. Today, we have been able to build a unique brand name as a financial institution in the village of Dibbedda.
I express my heartfelt gratitude to the past chairmen, committee members and esteemed members who have contributed to bringing the Dibbedda Thrift and Credit Cooperative Society Limited to its current state of development, which holds a proud history of more than 76 years, and I hereby pledge to dedicate the present to a bright tomorrow."
